In honor of George Eads' birthday I treated myself by taking the time to reformat my hard drive.  Woot!  It's nice to be back online again without running into jcarousel issues.  Hopefully that thing stays far, far away from my computer from here on out.

We are having a staff Christmas party and we are supposed to bring gag gifts. I'm completely blank so I'm asking my wonderful LJ friends to help me out.

In other news I finally got a permanent position at the library. I went from getting laid off to getting a job. *phew*

I got this little gem in my google alerts today.  A fan was watching the Arizona Fall League and got to see my David Bell in action.

Ok, most, if not all, of you know about my George Eads obsession.  But, there's another obsession of mine who I totally neglected these last two days.

I'm a tad bit obsessed with baseball.  I love the game, the smells of the park, the players...etc.  Well my all time favorite player (former player because he broke his back in 2003) is managing the Peoria Saguaros and I totally missed the first two games...and they lost.

So, here's my livejournal shout out to the 2009 Saguaros managed by the one and only David Bell!

Yup, I went yesterday! They had it all summer in Portland and I finally made it down there.

I thought it was pretty cool, but I also had the feeling that die-hards would get the most from it.

You walk in to a briefing by Grissom. Yeah, there is some chatting by Zuiker talking about it and such. You are given one of three crime scenes and off you go. After analyzing the scene you go to various labs to find out what happened. There are videos of the stars and actual CSIs in the labs. Everybody else was zooming through, but me being obsessed with CSI took the time to watch each and every one.

Once you figure it all out, you go into Grissom's office and give him the report. This is all done on computer screens. He then runs the crime for you.

We went through three times to do all three crime scenes.

Yeah, I did embarrass my kids a time or two by saying that Nicky was my honey and such.    I only did it during his video and his pictures.

If any of you get a chance, I recommend going.
